After all, the only place that women become radical feminists is in college because the real world does not teach such balderdash.

Were you taken back by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg’s recent admission that Roe v. Wade was decided because persons were worried about “populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”?

Taking the oath to “do equal right to the poor and to the rich,” Sonia Sotomayor was finally sworn in as the first Latina on the U.S. Supreme Court. No sooner had the kerfuffle surrounding her “wise Latina” remark subsided, when Carol Smith saw fit to pen this wise verdict in the New York Times: “In my experience, female bosses tend to be better managers, better advisers, mentors, rational thinkers.”

President Obama has repeatedly expressed his concern about our rising unemployment. The worst losses of jobs are in manufacturing, because building autos has gone overseas, and in construction, because the housing industry has tanked.

Feminism, that increasingly silly gaggle of aging hippies who once pretended to stand for something, is most easily understood – at least in my mind – with the acronym for its informal organization, LAME (Ladies Auxiliary of Marxist Envy.) Its function is not – Gaea forbid! – to actually help women anywhere.  When Bill Clinton was accused of brutally raping a woman – a woman who had bruises and friends who corroborated her story – well, that did not deal with “women’s issues” but only women.  When women like Carrrie Prejean or Sarah Palin speak as strong women, well, LAME is not exactly interested in “strong women” (why else support a woman whose brain seems to work at about the same level as Daisy Duck to be Speaker of the House?)

Erin Pizzey is a genial woman with snow-white hair, cherubic cheeks, and an easy smile. It wasn’t always that way. The daughter of an English diplomat, she founded the world’s first shelter for battered women in 1971. To her surprise, she discovered that most of the women in her shelter were as violent as the men they had left.

Dogged by weeks of protest, the Dallas Area Rapid Transit finally took down the controversial advertisements from its buses this past weekend. Purchased by a local abuse shelter, the ads featured a young schoolgirl who blithely predicted, “One day my husband will kill me.”

In 1984, after founding the Renaissance Women, to counter the radical feminists who were claiming to speak for ALL women, we were on the national radar. As a very young, conservative, I was pitted against a veteran feminist, Gloria Steinem, on the Phil Donahue show. The issue was whether women should be supporting Geraldine Ferraro for Vice President because she was a woman.

It is widely reported that women suffer depression at twice the rate of men. Apparently, more women are clinically depressed than ever before. On the assumption that these assessments are true, the question anyone interested in the subject - which means anyone who cares about any woman - asks is, why?

Scientists have known for years that there are structural differences between male and female brains. Yet, if someone were to bring up these structural differences as a possible explanation for why women seem to be better than men at certain things and men better than women at other things (perhaps math and science), radical feminists will try to have you drummed out of the human race. (Remember the fate of Harvard’s Larry Summers.) To them, if women, for example, don’t do as well as men in math and science, that must be blamed on an evil patriarchal system created by sinister and bigoted and sexist men who want to keep women down---and damn any science which contradicts that.

Barack Obama has a habit of hanging out with flamethrowers who espouse radical causes. There’s Obama’s long-time associate, former Weatherman William Ayers, who once boasted, “I don’t regret setting bombs...I feel we didn’t do enough.”
