The Internet is abuzz with news about the construction of internment camps all across America. Of course, “mainstream” media outlets refuse to touch the subject; or if they do, they pooh-pooh the story; they do what Glenn Beck recently did: try to debunk the story as fallacious and impugn people who speak of it as “conspiracy nuts.” The fact that the Becks, Hannitys, Limbaughs, and O’Reillys of the media circus refuse to deal with the construction of large numbers of internment camps does not make them disappear, however.

An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an “Internment/Resettlement” specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on “threatening” conservatives.

Law firm warns: White House raising ‘significant First Amendment concerns’ - A nonprofit public interest law firm is demanding that the White House withdraw a citizen “snitch” program that seeks to collect information on those who make “fishy” statements about President Obama’s health care “reform.”

Harlingen, Texas, August 6, 2009:  Those of you who tuned in to television or radio news in the past two days have now heard about the new target of the Obama Administration---You!  I have read that message from our President and the White House.  It is now very clear to me that I am right up near the top of the Enemies List the administration seems to have been collecting during its short time in power.

’Don’t Tread on Me’ puts driver in ‘watch’ category in DHS report - A Louisiana driver was stopped and detained for having a “Don’t Tread on Me” bumper sticker on his vehicle and warned by a police officer about the “subversive” message it sent, according to the driver’s relative.

Proposal ‘comes close to making it federal offense to log onto Internet’ - A new proposal in Congress is threatening fines and jail time for what it calls “cyberbullying” - communications that include e-mails and text messages that “cause substantial emotional distress.”
