America’s new Socialist Congress is flexing its Stalinist muscles and scooping up the leadership of a number of America’s business giants and forcing them to Washington to an inquisition, which is designed to do two things.  One:  To make an example of these chosen corporations—and two: To put the fear of God —well, allow me rephrase that – to put the fear of the new Soviet-style socialist government into all Americans. The message is:  keep your mouth shut and do not question the Obama Regime’s socialist machinations or those of the socialist/democrat congress. 

If there is anything good to say about Democratic control of the White House, Senate and House of Representatives, it’s that their extraordinarily brazen, heavy-handed acts have aroused a level of constitutional interest among the American people that has been dormant for far too long. Part of this heightened interest is seen in the strength of the tea-party movement around the nation. Another is the angry reception that many congressmen received at their district town-hall meetings. Yet another is seen by the exchanges on the nation’s most popular radio talk shows such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and others. Then there’s the rising popularity of conservative/libertarian television shows such as Glenn Beck, John Stossel and Fox News. 

Comrade Franks and Comrade Schumer have started mumbling about a Democracy not requiring a 60 vote majority in the Senate for passage of a bill.  Pure simple Democracy is “mob rule” that is why the USA was structured as a Republic.

Many good, honest conservatives want to fire all of Congress. One of the latest efforts is a website called goooh.com(1) (as in GetOutOfOurHouse). Believe me, I understand the feeling. Congress has miserably failed to satisfy the voters. They’ve been arrogant, they’ve spent more time accumulating personal wealth than legislating, they’ve casually ignored the entirety of the Constitution, they’ve lied, stolen and become so filled with hubris that even when they stand silent people assume they are lying. Yes, I get it when people say that we should “fire ‘em all.” But unfortunately the righteousness of the populist anger doesn’t make the sentiment the right prescription to cure what ails our nation.

Notwithstanding waning popular support, the House of Representatives, by a mere five votes and in a rare Saturday session, has sent to the United States Senate almost 2,000 pages of proposed Federal incursion, confusion and control of our Nation’s medical care.

At Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Oct. 29 press conference, a CNS News reporter asked, “Madam Speaker, where specifically does the Constitution grant Congress the authority to enact an individual health insurance mandate?” Speaker Pelosi responded, “Are you serious? Are you serious?” The reporter said, “Yes, yes, I am.” Not responding further, Pelosi shook her head and took a question from another reporter. Later on, Pelosi’s press spokesman, Nadeam Elshami, told CNSNews.com about its question regarding constitutional authority mandating that individual Americans buy health insurance: “You can put this on the record. That is not a serious question. That is not a serious question.”

Liberal and leftist Congressional leaders have recently used what strongly appears to be an exaggerated and embellished-in-ObamaCare’s-favor poll in order to bolster the case for their government-run healthcare mandate--no it is neither a public “option” nor Nancy Pelosi’s consumer “option” but, it is no option at all.  By design, ObamaCare would destroy private insurance in a very short time period.  And although the plan would not go into effect until 2013, We-the-People would be forced to begin paying for it as soon as Obama signs the bill.  This allows Obama and Co even more room to maneuver towards stealing even more of our money.

When America elects representatives and dispatches them to Washington, it does so with the belief those servants will focus on the issues affecting us all in our day-to-day lives. The group currently serving in the Capitol has failed grossly and is now just outright ignoring the people.

House Resolution 554 was introduced on June 17 by Rep. Brian Baird, D-Wash. It would require a 72-hour reading period for all non-emergency legislation before a vote by the House of Representatives. It is stuck in committee.

One notable work of the estimable science-fiction writer Robert A. Heinlein was Farnham’s Freehold.  Farnham had built a fallout shelter, now a real-world relic of the Cold War. He saw it as his responsibility as provider and caretaker to build the shelter, despite the unlikelihood of nuclear war or slim chances of survival. His duty was to protect his wife and family whom he dearly loved. After the worst happened, the family survived.

Harlingen, Texas, August 19, 2009:  They came from across the Rio Grande Valley.  Citizens of every stripe, Democrats, Republicans, Independents and even non-voting youth from three counties were there. They gathered at a Town Hall meeting in Harlingen, Texas last night.

If Nancy Pelosi really believes that the anger displayed at town hall meetings is manufactured by “Astroturf” Republican groups, she is either stupid or totally disconnected from the real world. Democrats appear to be shocked by the intensity and the volume of the opposition they have encountered to the health care bill that awaits their return from August vacation.

It was Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009. Congress was planning to vote the next day on a so-called “stimulus” bill anticipated to cost $787 billion. The final text of the bill had not been published, so no one knew exactly what it would authorize the government to do.

The good news is congress people are afraid to go to town hall meetings and one had to have a police escort to leave, the bad news is they still don’t get it, they struck a deal late last night in committee to help pass this bill when they come back. They may not be having town hall meetings, but they still have offices and it is time they saw a tea party up close and personal, while you are there have several copies of petitions for their impeachment or recall and be getting people to sign it. You might not have to use those petitions but you want them to know for a fact that you have them, call the media and let them know you are going to be there and that you will be collecting signatures for the removal of your congressman or woman. That way if they refuse to go to their office they will know you are there and you mean business.

Reminiscent of the fall of Rome Congressional seats may soon be harder to give away rather than raising a fortune to gain. In fairness it would be hard to prove the congress has a clue but the real question is what are they going to do now that the rest of America is starting to get a clue?
