Lessons In Apologetics #8: Atheism
Religion
Frederick Meekins
If the Christian has no assurance that God will triumph from the way the world appears to be going, one would be better off hedging one’s bets by siding with the Devil or sitting the whole thing out all together. There are those that attempt to do just that.

‘Evangelical Christians and American Jews, Allies or Foes?’
Religion
Warner Todd Huston
This is the text of an address I gave to a men’s luncheon in Niles, Illinois on March 3, 2011. Niles and its neighbor Skokie are heavily Jewish areas in the northern suburbs of Chicago. I hope it was fairly well received and that you will similarly find it interesting. - We all know there has been a complicated and often unfortunate history between European Christians and their Jewish fellows. There is an earned suspicion that Jews have for European Christians that goes back centuries. Over time relationships between Jews and European Christians has swing wildly from acceptance, to indifference to outright antagonism and back again.

The Truth about Obama’s Muslim ‘Faith’
Religion
Selwyn Duke
Now that Barack Obama has decided to be for the Ground Zero mosque before being implicitly against it (perhaps), discussion about his faith has once again reached a fever pitch. To many, his stance proves he’s a Muslim, with a recent poll showing that almost 20 percent of Americans hold that opinion; to others, it just reflects a desire to be faithful to the Constitution (now, that would be change). The truth, however, is a bit more nuanced. Obama is not religiously Muslim. Culturally, though...well, that’s a different matter altogether.

WAR!
Religion
Don Boys
Abrasive Atheists, Shallow Scholars, Silly Scientists, Pagan Preachers and Embattled Evolutionists Attack Christians! - My new book, to be published later this year, is in the area of Christian apologetics; however, apologetics does not entail apologizing to anyone. It involves seeking to remove the obstacles from the path of the skeptics so they can be saved from a life of misery and an eternity without Hope.

Prophets are not God’s PR men – Evangelism is not cheerleading
Religion
Michael Bresciani
Andy Warhol may have been slightly off when he said everyone is allowed their fifteen minutes of fame. Sometimes they are allowed a few years or even decades to ride a wave of popularity but even at that another dawn always breaks.

A high school hall-of-fame and Christian wrestling coach in Dearborn, Mich., claims he was muscled out of his long-tenured coaching job by the school’s principal, a devout Muslim, because the administrator was furious over a student wrestler who had converted to Christianity from Islam.

‘I Wonder What Gore Thinks About Obama’s Faith?’
Religion
Guest:
A few years ago I wrote about Al Gore’s criticism of George W. Bush’s faith. I found it so fascinating then that a former Vice President of the United States would condemn a current President’s religious belief.

Pray? To whom? I’m a Democrat!
Religion
Offsite
In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress, signed by President Truman, declared an annual, national day of prayer. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently setting the day as the first Thursday of every May. Each year, the president signs a proclamation, encouraging all Americans to pray on this day. Since Reagan, the Republican presidents traditionally followed up the proclamation by hosting a National Prayer Breakfast.

‘Did God Touch 50 States and Not the Nation?’
Religion
Tom Segel
Harlingen, Texas, April 8, 2009: I really don’t know how the leader of our country could voice such words. According to Barack Obama the United States of America is not a Christian nation. Instead, it is only a nation of citizens. Well, perhaps he can split a hair or two and insist his view is correct, because not all people who embrace our God wear the Christian mantle. We also have faithful Jewish brethren who worship the same Almighty Creator.

Timesonline Overreacts: If Islam is Extreme Let’s ban ALL Religion
Religion
Warner Todd Huston
In yet another example of why the west might not beat the onslaught of radical Islamofascism, Minette Marrin of the Timesonline thinks she has found a solution to the clash of cultures. Marrin details the extremism evinced by too many Muslims in England and then posits a solution: ban all religion. Talk about an absurd idea. It’s as foolish as throwing out the baby with the bath water. It also discounts thousands of years of worthy and enlightened western culture influenced, guided and based on Christian philosophy.
