On Tuesday November 24th, the day after Big Government broke the story revealing tens of thousands of documents containing sensitive material had been unceremoniously dumped in a trash bin behind the San Diego ACORN office, Attorney General Jerry Brown appeared on Talk Radio KABC’s Peter Tilden Show.

I had the occasion this past week to meet with former Attorney General John Ashcroft. I asked him how he felt when Democrats express outrage about accusations of fascism against the Obama administration.

The November 3 elections showed that President Obama and his statist allies in Congress have set off a political tsunami.

London’s flamboyant, bike-commuting mayor, Boris Johnson, did something rather extraordinary earlier this week in that criminal paradise known as the UK where self-defense and “have-a-go heroes” face prosecution for stopping crimes before the police can get there purposely too late in order to just have to fill out paperwork.  In the UK, where everyone basically quails before the whims of the violent, Boris Johnson confronted a gang of teenage girls (one armed with an iron bar), who were threatening an older woman.

MSNBC correspondents David Schuster and Tamron Hall spent some time trying to shape the battlefield for today’s elections in their afternoon news show yesterday. They featured DNC Chairman (and outgoing Virginia governor) Tim Kaine, an oddly implausible fellow who tried to test run the narrative by which his Party plans to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat after all the hanging chads are examined.

The warning signs were clear. Barack Obama’s first clue to the mood of the country should have been the 48 percent of voters who did not want him for president. With this dubious “mandate,” he and his cohorts in Congress launched their agenda to “fundamentally transform the United States of America” (Obama’s exact campaign rhetoric).

Remember how BHO got down in the mud with Sarah Palin almost immediately after she was announced as John McCain’s running mate? It took a good week before his handlers got him to settle down and realize that he was running against McCain, not Palin.

Bud Norris didn’t realize what a firestorm he had created.

The Catholic sitting next to you in Church could be a phony. If they proceed to receive communion they may be calling sacrilege and eternal damnation on their soul. One should know no one is capable of judging what someone’s eternal life may be. But with Senator Kennedy and his full Catholic funeral upon his recent death, one has to wonder.

It was almost nauseating to watch the media fawning over Ted Kennedy’s corpse as though he were the last brother of King Arthur, and his passing was signaling the end of a real place called Camelot. In fact, there’s an argument to be made that Chris Matthews and company actually believe in that mythical kingdom. Fair and balanced Fox News Channel was as carried away as the others, just as they were - unfortunately - with the death of Michael Jackson a few weeks ago. (Whatever would the media have done if Teddy and Michael had passed at the same time? Poor Farah Fawcett would have merited nary a mention.)

Up to now, I have maintained my silence about the late Senator Ted Kennedy.  I have been torn between my “sainted” mother’s advice that if you cannot say something nice about someone, say nothing at all.

Hassan Nemazee, a multimillionaire Iranian-American investment banker and top Democratic Party fundraiser, was arrested today by federal law enforcement authorities in New York City and charged with engaging in criminal fraud for his role in arranging a $74 million dollar loan from Citibank, Bloomberg reported.

A public interest law firm announced today that it has filed a lawsuit seeking documents related to political contributions made by mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to several lawmakers, including then-Sen. Barack Obama.
