The ultimate constraint we all face is knowledge – what we know and don’t know. The knowledge problem is pervasive and by no means trivial as hinted at by just a few examples. You’ve purchased a house. Was it the best deal you could have gotten? Was there some other house you could have purchased that 10 years later would not have needed extensive repairs or was in a community with more likable neighbors and a better environment for your children? What about the person you married? Was there another person who would have made for a more pleasing spouse? Though these are important questions, the most intelligent answer you can give to all of them is: “I don’t know.”

The revolt keeps growing, from tea parties to angry town hall meetings across the country, an uprising against the attempts of an elite to force on us an all-powerful State, about as welcome as grandma’s cod-liver oil.  Examples of revolt go beyond irate callers to radio talk shows.  Take for instance the incident at a Frankie Valli concert recently posted on American Thinker, and the disgust and anger in Joe Sheffat’s article.  Sen. Barbara Boxer encountered it, as did Sen. Claire McCaskill, who made the mistake of asking if she was trusted.

Liberal elitists love to compartmentalize all of the slobs that they visualize to are below their station in life and need to be “controlled”.

Any doubt about the condescending arrogance of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her ilk was laid to rest when she attacked the tea parties as being initiatives “funded by the high-end, we call it Astroturf – it’s not really a grass-roots movement – its Astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich, instead for the great middle class.”

President-elect Barack Obama’s refusal to produce an original and viable birth certificate indicating that he truly and indisputably is a natural born US citizen - as is required by the US Constitution - is continuing to take unusual tacks and turns.  In fact, as it is appearing more and more that Barack Obama is not qualified for the US presidency, his and his minions’ machinations may just take the country off course entirely.  Now, not only is Mr. Obama refusing to provide proof that he is even eligible to be the President of the United States but, he has decided to thumb his nose at members of our highest court in the land. 

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and its affiliates are content to impose crippling big-government laws, regulations, and taxes on Americans, but when called upon to obey those same rules, ACORN’s network of scofflaws and deadbeats simply refuses to comply.

NOTHING in recent memory has driven home the divide between our self-appointed aristocracy and “commoners” as sharply as the intelligentsia’s rush to mock Gov. Sarah Palin’s religious faith.

Oscar-nominated actor Omar Sharif, star of the film “Dr. Zhivago,” is blasting President Bush’s Middle Eastern policies and the American “ignorance” that spawned them.

Most people are just like those in Nazi Germany under Hitler, some see the evil affecting others, but will ignore it until it’s too late, but a majority of Americans are as uninformed as a box of rocks because they rely on the controlled media propaganda for information. Our media is really amazing, run by Liberals who do not have a clue that their liberal leaders are communists and their corporate employers are Fascists, with no loyalty to any country. The constitutional right of a free press was to insure Americans the information they must have to remain free, but our media is nothing more than the propaganda arms of owners in the “Chain of Command for Treason” who are in the process of enslaving us and taking our sovereignty. Two of our primary defenses against usurpation are the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and the Right to Freedom of Speech. Both of these rights are under serious attack right now and could be instantly denied by traitors in government using existing unconstitutional policy.

As we look back on 2007, we thank our computers hooked up to the Internet that hooked us up to one another. Without this unlimited communication device - Bush and Congress would have destroyed our constitutional republic.

The continued agonizing by Beltway curmudgeons like Robert Novak to explain away Gov. Mike Huckabee’s rise in the polls that has left pundits like Novak scratching his head would be comical if it wasn’t about such an important issue as the presidential nomination. As an example, Novak’s recent column about Huckabee’s trip to Houston and supposed lack of support among Baptist leaders was full of red herrings. 

The White House apparently is so reluctant to discuss the issue of pardons or commutations for convicted U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean that a spokesman doesn’t even want to allow questions about the issue to be finished.

The White House has left unexplained the president’s decisions to grant pardons to drug dealers, carjackers, thieves and a moonshiner, but deny the same mercy to two former U.S. Border Patrol agents each serving more than a decade in prison for shooting at a fleeing drug smuggler.

Intermixed with Hillary Clinton’s many disparate stances on illegal immigration are the occasional, very revealing statements that say far more about her character in general than about her transient and flexible beliefs. In one recent statement, she expressed her surprise at the vehemence of real America in its opposition to the massive invasion of illegals.

If only we could live on the hot air and posturing of our elected officials. That would eliminate our reliance on food and, with luck, our need for prescription drugs as well. But, alas, Americans are standard-issue mortals, and our intake requirements are pretty well set in stone.
