The “Ruling Class”: elitist self-serving Progressive snobs inside the ‘Beltway’ was only only slightly effected by the change of the guard in the House Of Representatives and readjustment of the balance in the Senate.

Good day to all and a very happy 4th of July. Before I plan to BBQ and launch fireworks in celebration of America’s 234 birthday, I will opine on the topics below. Read them, pass them on to others and fight to change everything for the better before it gets any worse. 

A move is afoot to grant statehood to Puerto Rico, and a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives tomorrow may put the island on a path to becoming the nation’s 51st state. 

We will not survive the policies of this president. Either we turn this American ship around quickly, or we will all go down with it.—Two-hundred-thirty-four years ago, a core of American citizens—just like you and me—pledged their lives and their fortunes to break free of the bondage of taxes, regulation and the tyrant known as King George.

Harlingen, Texas, April 11, 2010:  The political greed and over indulgences of those who now sit in our nation’s seats of power have created an almost unrecoverable sickness across this land.  It will now require serious pain on the part of its citizenry, if we are to restore the health of America.  The unanswered question at this hour is...are we willing to accept the actions all of us know are the only way we can rebuilt the vitality of the nation? 

The health care debate has been a spectacle to watch. Democrat members of Congress that are opposed to the legislation are being threatened by the President and by leaders of the Senate and the House. Some of it is subtle, like President Obama telling members of his party that he has no plans to campaign for them unless they vote for the health care bill. These days, in light of the incredible low he is experiencing in the polls, that is probably good news for Democrats. Other threats are less subtle, including some being warned if they do not vote for the bill, they are going to face well funded primary challenges. The arm twisting that members are experiencing is unprecedented and the tactics being used by Democrat leaders is being described by some as unconstitutional.

Passage of the so-called “health care reform” bill in the House of Representatives this past Sunday, March 21 (I won’t even address the inferred unconstitutionality of Congress doing business on the Lord’s Day. See Article. I. Section. 7. Paragraph. 2.) drove yet another stake into the heart of America. For all intents and purposes, it is the health of the United States that is in dire need of healing. In fact, the US has been on extended life-support for decades. With its condition being rendered critical, and absent major surgery, its days are numbered. The passage of this bill only serves to further weaken an already frail Constitution. In fact, this one may prove to be the fatal blow. Lady Liberty may never recover.

Harlingen, Texas, March 20, 2010:  We are seeing almost daily marches on Washington.  The Capital switchboard has been jammed by more than capacity calls around the clock.  Many, if not all, members of Congress have turned off their computers and stopped receiving email.  Why?  They have created a corrupt bill falsely labeled health care reform.  It is designed to bankrupt the nation and they know Americans are enraged.

In my youth there was a popular song entitled: “Save Your Confederate Money, Boys… the South Is Gonna Rise Again!”

Knowing this important and historic holiday is typically ignored (and surely not celebrated) in schools now, allow me to opine.

Call it a “Constitutional Republic,” or a “Representative Republic,” the fact is – America, as a “republic,” is done for.

In Patrick Henry’s immortal “Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death” speech, he said, “[I]t is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth.” Never have Henry’s words been truer than they are today. For too long, good men have turned a blind eye to the obvious reality that America’s Ship of State has swerved significantly off course. In fact, it is no hyperbole to say that America’s Ship of State is completely rudderless and, absent a speedy course correction, seems destined to crash against the rocks of oppression and economic ruin in the very near future. For anyone willing to open their eyes, the manifestations of America’s almost-certain collision with history are everywhere.

It is becoming more and more obvious that the Democrat leadership, from Obama, to Pelosi to Reid, have absolutely no clue about the strength of the growing opposition to their big government agenda. They still think the TEA Party movement is the brainchild of the Republican Party and that TEA Party leaders are just paid Republican lackeys.

There was a time in America, not so long ago, when we had white people, black people, brown people, yellow people, etc.  We had men and women. We had healthy people and we had sick people and we had handicapped people.

The underlying reason for America’s past greatness is the freedom of her people. As the people’s freedom is diminished, so is America’s greatness. Once lost, neither freedom nor the nation’s greatness can be easily regained. The people’s freedom has been dramatically eroded in recent years, and the Marxist majority now in control of the federal government is trying hard to extinguish those few flames that still flicker.
