George Soros’ Millions Buying ‘Political Reporters’ For NPR
Information
Warner Todd Huston
The left loves to go wild claiming that Ruppert Murdock, a famous conservative, owns a few news outlets. The left is also aghast that well-known righty Roger Ailes guides Fox News. Ailes’s ideology makes of his network a compromised product, they claim. It’s all a travesty of “news,” and “proof” that those agencies are contaminated by right-wing ideology say lefty detractors. So, with the news that George Soros is buying one hundred political “reporters” for National Public Radio (NPR), one waits with bated breath for the left to decry the fact that a famous anti-American leftist is buying and influencing the “news.”

The Censorship Brigade is on the march
Information
Offsite
Power, in its purest, most corrupting form, is the driving force behind some politicians’ desire to gut the First Amendment. Rulers, or, more accurately, despots, have always sought to control what information is available to citizens, as well as when it’s available, as a way of keeping citizens complacent. This helps the ruling class assure its own grip on power.

Memo to the White House: Embrace the 4 Cs Rule
Information
John David Powell
White House honchos and others use the term “communication failure” to explain the inability of Congress to pass healthcare legislation and other key parts of President Obama’s agenda. Such reasoning assumes the bills deserve passage in their current forms. That, however, is another topic.

Bankrolled by same wealthy Saudi prince, CAIR now regular guest on cable leader - Long a reliably patriotic media source in the war on terror, Fox News may now be among news outlets who have fallen under the spell of the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ propaganda machine.

Fox and foes
Information
Offsite
Whenever I hear people outside the administration prattle on about how evil and biased Fox News is, I know I am listening to a flock of parrots who have never even tuned in. As a conservative, I, myself, have a number of problems with the network. For one thing, I resent Bill O’Reilly’s ridiculing those who merely ask for documentation that their president was born in the United States, and I also wish he’d stop defending Obama against charges that he’s a socialist or worse. If it walks, swims and quacks like a duck, Bill, it’s a safe bet that you can pop it in the oven and serve it at Christmastime.

Beck - Over the top but on the mark
Information
Offsite
If you can get by the histrionics and theatrics, talk jock Glenn Beck does a nice job of weaving together what might appear to be disparate scenarios, but when viewed as a whole, leave you with the nagging feeling that Obama and his team are much further left than his campaign rhetoric led us to believe. I can only take so much of Beck, and catch his show only because he comes on when I’m working out on the treadmill or elliptical, and bored to death. He is as far to the right as MoveOn.org is too far to the left. (If either moved another inch they’d fall over.) Yet, now I find myself watching him for breaking news! That sounds like a bad joke.

News Not Fit To Print
Information
Armand C. Hale
If the old media would print real and effective news for the people to digest instead of left wing agendas, what’s happening with “John & Kate, Dancing with the Stars or The Girls Next Door”, the mentality of the country would be higher than a house plant.

Glenn Beck, Post-Modern Conservative
Information
Offsite
Buried in the cross-tabs of the new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll is a question that takes a temperature reading of Glenn Beck. Beck actually makes out pretty well. While just 24 percent of Americans have a favorable view of him (13 percent strongly so), only 19 percent have an unfavorable one (14 percent strongly). That leaves 57 percent who either don’t know Beck or are indifferent toward him.

Headline Potpourri #8
Information
Frederick Meekins
Michael Savage has been dropped from a station in his hometown of San Francisco. As the Bible says, a prophet is without honor in his own land. It is claimed the move was made because the station wanted to go in a different philosophical direction with more contemporary content. In other words, the station managers were actually hoping to propagate leftwing debauchery.

‘Sneaky Seeds of an Assault to Reimpose the Fairness Doctrine?’
Information
Marion Edwyn Harrison
One need never sagely underestimate the routes which offensive liberal Federal intrusion, upon free speech or otherwise, may take. The following scenario appears to reflect the seeds of an attempt to reimpose the so-called Fairness Doctrine.
