When God Speaks, Ask For His CredentialsIt is the consensus of most Christians that God speaks to us in mysterious ways: visions, signs, dreams, symbols, and of course through the Bible. The Good Book indicates that God has “voiced” messages to so few individuals, that it’s hard to take someone’s claim of oral communication seriously.
But who knows? After all, God told Adam he was naked, get some clothes on. God personally gave Moses the Ten Commandments. God warned Noah of a flood and even gave him dimensions for the Ark. God conferred with Paul on the road to Damascus.
And God spoke to George W. Bush. Or so he said.
Compared with the others, that may seem like the bottom end of the spiritual food chain. But not to George. He has made it amply clear to the whole world that God personally told him to run for President because the country needed a man like him to lead it.
Now, looking at this endless hell that George has saddled our nation with, I came to the conclusion long ago that George either misread God’s command and cavalierly decided, now that the Lord had made him president he was free to do what he damn well pleased with the country. OR, George, in neglecting to ask for His credentials, thought God was talking to him, when in reality George was talking to himself.
In either case, George screwed up, like he has done with just about everything he has touched in his tainted career; only THIS time this once glorious nation and the duped American people are paying a price to terrible to contemplate.
Something smelled bad from the beginning. If you bought the story of George being a recipient of God’s personal instructions, then you are forced to admit that he either misread the Almighty, or what he said to himself were the words of a mentally ill man-child.
Let’s face it, why would God give the presidency to a man who went AWOL and deserted the military in a time of war? My guess is, He would not. This therefore, makes George W. Bush either a willing partner in a “destroy America” conspiracy, or we are stuck with a man who is more qualified to swab the White House bathrooms, than be President of the United States.
Looking at the first proposition, I submit that Bush may well be a willing participant in the dismantling of American values, culture, and principles, as shown by his obvious acquiescence to the plots and schemes of the traitorous neo-conservatives in his administration whose objective is to drag America into any war that will help them build the New World Order.
On the hand, George might simply be a dim-witted contributor to these sinister plots by virtue of not seeing the schemers for what they are and exorcising them from the influential positions they hold in his disastrous administration.
Thus, George W. Bush, as president, is an anomaly of ambiguities that is not only difficult to understand, but more menacing than a “hidden” forest fire: you can’t see the flames for all the blinding smoke.
But there is one thing about George W. Bush we do know for sure, because every word of it is documented. His failure as a leader---together with his deceptiveness as a person—has ragged his tail from the day he bought an oil company and went bankrupt because he couldn’t find any oil in Texas, to being the first president to run and hide when the U.S. came under attack, and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force l.
Bush’s resume is littered with other ignominious facts. On the domestic scene, Bush spent our surplus and bankrupted the treasury. He is the first president in history to enter office with a criminal record. He did nothing while over 2-million Americans lost their jobs. He refuses to stop the invasion of illegal immigrants. He cut health care benefits for war veterans. He refused to use the reserves to help us when gasoline prices soared. He helped create the largest departmental bureaucracy in U.S. history. He is the first president to establish a secret shadow government. And on and on.
And his deceit in foreign affairs outdoes his domestic screw-ups. Bush dissolved more international treaties than any president in U.S. history. He is the first president in history to order a U.S. attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation. He almost single-handedly rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant. In no time at all, he succeeded in making the U.S. the most resented country in the world. He is first president to have the majority of Europeans (71%) consider him the biggest threat to world peace and stability. He prevented public investigation of the 9/11 tragedy, the biggest security failure in the history of the U.S. He eviscerated the Constitution and neutered the Bill of Rights by instituting the Patriot and Homeland Security Acts. And he created the most divided America since the Civil War.
Frankly, I don’t think God told George Bush to do any of these traitorous things. So, just think, all this chaos and misery might have been avoided if George had only bothered to ask God for his credentials.
